With fiery tears streaming down the intertwining wrinkles of her face, such as the intricacies of the Yemeni crisis, mother Hamda Saleh al-Ashtal tells her trauma, when the American-Saudi coalition launched its raids at the beginning of 2017, targeting her family’s home located in Wadi Habbab in the Sarwah district in the Ma’rib Governorate (eastern Yemen).
The bereaved mother, Hamda, has become more like an icon that represents the condition of all Yemeni women in light of this ongoing aggression for more than five years now.
O our guns screaming bereaved
She complains of unfairness about the aggression of Koha
Support her and me for Tesla
Translated on the day the revenge took a tear of crying
Her voice for the battles tugged my resolve and majesty
My concern does not cool my resolve and my eyes see it
By God, her tears are dear, and my blood is more precious
Oh my blood flow and inject her tears into her lap
A drop of blood avoids a drop of tears
Otherwise, her father cursed manhood if her blood froze
